Grace Christian Church ORTIGAS Coming SOON

I may have mentioned in a previous post that Grace Christian Church will be building a branch in the Ortigas area. So the church to physically have an office there may not be so soon, but it doesn't mean we can't have a service there. So coming this September 6 (Sunday) at 6 in the evening, we have our first service in Crowne Plaze Hotel - Ortigas (Sapphire room). Well, you can just get the details from the poster above. I hope to see a lot of new faces there. This is our opportunity to invite our friends who don't usually attend church, as we talk about a new series of our home in Glory --- "HEAVEN".

Supersize Me

Summer is the time to breakaway from school and all the responsibilities that are tangled up with it. It's the one time in the year where you can glaze your eyes on the television set or the computer without being yelled at for ignoring your homework. But we still get badgered about not spending our time as wisely. So this year, Grace Christian Church is sponsoring a Summer Youth Camp charged with activities, messages, and a week with your friends!

Last year, Grace's Summer Camp (Unmasked!) was held at the Asian Theological Seminary in Baguio. The theme revolved around our personal identity under who we are in God. A video message was played zeroing on the spiritual warfare that is continually going on around us. Personally, these messages helped me get a better grasp of who I am and the world that revolves around me. I needn't be ashamed of who I am in Christ, nor should I fear the things of this world. With this in mind, I look forward to the things I'll learn this coming summer at the Youth Camp.

The Grace Summer Youth Camp will be held at the Graceland Estates and Country Club in Tayabas, Quezon, during May 13-16. Early registration is advised, starting at P2,800 till Feb. 28; P3,300 from March 1 to May 3. There are limited slots, so apply now!

Want to Enhance Your EQ?

For many of us, we've always wanted an opportunity to share the Gospel to our non-Christian friends and relatives. However, "nahihiya tayo" (we are embarrassed) , or we just don't know how to. Sometimes we don't even have the opportunity to invite them to just a simple fellowship or Bible study. We're afraid that the topic might turn them off, or just confuse them more about Christianity.

Anyway, we're in-luck (or the more appropriate term BLESSED), Zion fellowship has invited Ptr Jeanette Yu from the United Evangelical Church of the Philippines to speak to us on the topic "Enhancing Your EQ". It is a very short one time workshop that can help anyone of us. And if your friend gets defensive, just tell him/her that: 1) It won't be an evangelistic event. 2) It is a workshop that can help anyone. and 3) He/She won't be the only one new that will be attending.

This is an opportunity for us to invite our friends to church. Just try to invite them, and let the Holy Spirit do all the convincing in their hearts.

2009 Philippine Balloon Festival

The 2009 Philippines Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held on February 12 to 15 this year. Both Zion and Young Pro Fellowships will going on February 13 to enjoy the festivities.

It will be held at Clark Civil Aviation Complex, right along side Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

Basically, we'll leave Grace around 9pm on the 12th (Thursday) to stay over night at Fontana, and wake up around 3am and head straight to event. We'll be back more or less 4 to 5pm on the 13th (Friday) and still be able to attend fellowship in the evening.
